Certifications
This is Victoria’s first year teaching at Trilogy Dance Center. Victoria has over 25 years of experience in the dance world. Growing up around the country as an army brat, she was trained in Classical Ballet in studios from Tennessee to Texas. After moving to San Antonio in middle school, she fell in love with the Texas style of dance and knew she wanted to become a Dance Director. She attended Johnson High School where she was a member of the Belles Drill Team and the Legacies Dance Team and served as a social officer for 2 years. She then attended Texas State University where she was a 4-year member of the World Famous Texas State Strutters, a social officer for 3 years and the Social Officer President her senior year. During her time on Strutters, she had the opportunity to perform at Disneyland Paris, the Chicago McDonald’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and the 2017 Presidential Inauguration.
After graduating from Texas State with a BFA in Dance, she became the Pep Squad Director at Churchill High School. After 2 years, she also became the director of the Grenadier Drill Team, and the Fine Arts Department Head. During her time at Churchill, her teams won numerous awards at camps and competitions around Texas. After 6 years at Churchill, she will now be teaching dance at Lopez Middle School, where she has the opportunity to start their dance program for the first time. She also works for ShowMakers of America, which allows her to work with high school and middle school dance teams across Texas teaching summer camps and working contests. She is excited to build the Dance Team prep program at Trilogy!
Biography
Angel started dancing at the age of 20 as a ballroom dancer. He has trained with some of the top dancers in the commercial world such as Brian Friedman (Britney Spears’ Creative Director), Edyta and Alec (DWTS), Jojo Gomez (Tinashe Choreographer) and many others.
He has had the opportunity to choreograph shows in Las Vegas for major Hotels and Casinos Such as Circus Circus and choreograph music videos for artists, choreograph industrials for national companies, and work with several television networks such as Bravo, Oxygen, Nickelodeon and Fox.
Angel has taught and trained both nationally and internationally in Hip Hop, Jazz, Ballet, Ballroom, Contemporary, and acrobatics.
